The preliminary concept of this production has won the 1998 Communicator Awards
"Award of Distinction"

This music video production in progress is designed to test the emotional content lost of videos presented in a screen-within-a-screen (second order space) situation. The same video will be produced using two production approaches : inductive (close ups) and deductive (wide shots). The two videos will then be included in a multimedia presentation. The paper on this study will be available online.

This production uses a "music video" format with Chopin Etudes, Op. 10, No 3. The major challenge we face using this format with classical music is delivering a story without the use of language. Model Aki Kajiwara plays a pianist who has to overcome the lost of her ability to play music caused by an injury.
